In Siemens Energy T UK Digital Operations, the team engage with clients and project teams to create Digital Solutions in, Design, Building Information Management (BIM), 3D, 4D, 5D & 6D modelling, virtual design & construction (VDC), parametric design, optimisation, and other digital capabilities.
In this role, you will develop strong relationships with the T UK project teams and clients, bringing innovation to the development of Digital Engineering solutions that deliver complex and interesting critical infrastructure.
Your responsibilities
• Collaboration with Digital / BIM leads, planners, and supply chain to ensure alignment and quality of 3D models and P6 plans.
• Building of standard libraries and appearances in Synchro to ensure consistent appearance of 4D animations.
• Working with the DE Teams to develop detailed implementation plan to raise visibility and the use of 4D planning tools.
• Working with the DE team to outline future development and expansion of the use of Synchro across T UK.
• Developing documentation required to support the implementation and progression of 4D planning within the wider business.
• Promoting the digital rehearsal process.
• Exploring the future development of 4D based planning in the wider business.
• Act as support for delivering project specific 4D animations.
• Ensure 4D plans are developed to ensure safe practices are embedded.
• Presenting to a wide range of stakeholders including site teams, clients and suppliers.
• Transitioning from support for delivering 4D animations into coaching and mentoring role as the capability grows within the wider business.
• Clash detection & Coordination of Design Team (including external designers) model information,
• Management of the clash resolution on projects.
• Working closely with the BIM teams and Planners to ensure 3D models and P6 plans are adequately developed to facilitate optimal 4D Modelling.
• Build effective relationships with other SE T teams and stakeholders
• Contribute to business development strategies and proposals, plus identify new opportunities.
• Support the procurement and construction teams to deliver the projects technically.
• Participate in Project Design Reviews.
• A working knowledge of British, European & International BIM & Information Management codes of practice (essential).
• Good client facing skills (essential).
Your Skills, Experience & Qualifications
• A clear and effective communicator
• A competent user of Synchro Pro
• A working knowledge of Primavera P6
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 IM methodologies and procedures is desirable.
• Experience in using 3D modelling software (Revit, AutoCad, 3DS Max etc)
• Experience in using Clash detection software such as Navisworks Manage.
• Experience of Autodesk BIM360.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction industry.
• Familiarity with other methods of visualisation, virtual reality, augmented reality.
• Experience within Digital, consulting or engineering in a similar role.
• Ability to understand technical detail and enable a range of stakeholders to participate in digital design enhancements on projects.
• Well developed communication skills to facilitate positive client engagement in relation to BIM initiatives.
• Degree qualification in a related discipline
