This Opportunity
tk1sc, a WSP USA company, is seeking a BIM Specialist who can be located out Seattle, Irvine, San Jose, Los Angeles, Riverside, or San Diego. The tk1sc BIM Specialist is responsible for performing non-routine and complex drafting assignments through the use of various software programs including Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD. Responsible for performing intermediate design/engineering calculations and collaborating with project leads/engineers/designers to ensure drawings and accurate and complete. Working with some supervision, the BIM Specialist is accountable for accuracy, timeliness and reliability, reporting to their Coach, Associate or Supervisor.
Your Impact
- Begins to demonstrate intermediate knowledge of tk1sc AutoCAD/Revit processes & tools utilized in daily production tasks.
- Executes directions as provided by others but begins to make some BIM team-related decisions.
- Ability to anticipate and recognize issues related to own work.
- Ability to gather appropriate resources in order to solve problems.
- Self-educates and begins to mentor staff.
- Assists supervisor by providing input on schedule and production tasks.
- Believes in and champions the firms’ core values and inspires others to do the same.
- Understands overall project scope, the role of BIM team, and the roles of other disciplines for a project.
- Demonstrates an intermediate level of written and verbal communication both internally and externally.
- Experience monitoring and successfully managing time spent versus time allocated for task completion. Understands basic firm financial terms and concepts
- Assists with managing the development and output of document sets for tk1sc engineering staff.
- Performs AutoCAD/Revit project setups and updates with some direction of tk1sc engineering staff with some supervisory guidance.
- Troubleshoots general AutoCAD/Revit project-related issues with limited assistance of department management.
- Participates in AutoCAD/Revit development with direction from a supervisor.
- Mentors staff on tk1sc AutoCAD/Revit standards and processes.
- Self-Checks own work, and staffs, to identify QA/QC improvement opportunities.
- Leverages tools and technology to provide quality solutions to BIM team and staff.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or GED required
- 3 to 5 years’ experience with AutoCAD and Revit documentation and management
- Experience and understanding of document management applications (Sharefile, FileZilla, Dropbox, BIM 360, etc.)
- Proven ability to understand and recognize complex design problems.
- Effective communication skills with a team-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years’ experience using AutoCAD & Revit technologies within the A/E/C industry
Compensation and Benefits:
WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
Expected Salary: $65,900 – $90,500
WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
